“After thirty-nine (39) years of pastoring Maranatha Baptist Church in Charleston, WV,
my wife and I were led of the Lord to retire from the pastorate. I have not retired
from preaching. The Lord put me in the ministry. I plan to remain there until the Lord
pulls me out. Clearly, the Lord led my wife and me to begin another ministry - Godly
Line Family Ministries.”
“I got the name for our new ministry from a dear friend of mine who is now with the
Lord. Dr. Dolphus Price held several revivals in our church. On different occasions, in
the pulpit and in conversation, Dr. Price stated that he and Mrs. Price wanted to leave
a Godly line, a spiritual heritage, in and through his family. At his funeral held at
Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, it was obvious that Dr. and Mrs. Price
had indeed left a Godly line.”
Many of our Christian homes are not producing Christian families, children,
grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who are "in Christ" and in the church faithfully.
The emphasis of our ministry is to encourage and instruct believers to establish a
Godly Line in their families. The focus of our messages in our weekend Couples'
Advance meetings is the Christian home, the husband and wife and their relationship
with the Lord and with each other.
The American family is under siege by Satan. Families in
our churches are not exempt from the attacks on the
moral and spiritual fiiber of our society. The objective
of our ministry is to exhort families to start and main-
tain a Godly family line. The emphasis will encourage
believers to establish a Godly line in their families. So
many of our Christian homes are not producing Christian
families - children and grandchildren and great-grand-
children.
